Canadian pulse exporters’ experience with glyphosate residues in the EU in 2011 highlighted the fact that maximum residue limits (MRLs) have become one of the key non-tariff trade barriers for food exporters around the world.
Pulse Canada is working to develop tools to ensure that exporters are fully informed of the regulations that are in place in each importing country. As part of this work, a new online “trade dashboard” has been developed, that allows visitors to query MRLs for over 140 crop protection products in more than 80 countries.
This tool is available to members of CSCA and Pulse Canada. Login here to access the database.
