Canadian Pulses in the News

Interested in learning more about the benefits of cooking with Canadian pulses? Two new video series have recently been produced that show just how simple and beneficial it is to cook with beans and lentils!

Canada’s “Chef at Home” Michael Smith recently filmed a series of twelve webisodes about cooking with Canadian lentils. In the series, Chef Michael visits a lentil farm, talks about getting “sneaky” with lentils, and creates some incredibly tasty dishes that can easily be made at home. The Manitoba Pulse Growers Association joined Jim Ingebrigtsen and Al Bonas on a recent episode of Great Tastes of Manitoba to talk about gluten-free baking with pulses. Recipes for gluten-free chocolate cake, apple crisp and blueberry lemon quick bread were featured. The four-part video series can be viewed here:
