Pulse Canada and the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers kicked off Mission ImPULSEible in Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Mike Nickerson incorporated the use of pulses into his class’ final project. The class approached the competition with creative and enthusiastic flare and created very interesting products. Some of the products included a multi-use pulse puree, pulse stuffed and coated chicken breasts, pulse cookies, brownies, even a chocolate pulse pasta!
The presentation room was filled to the brim with supporting students, university faculty, pulse industry representatives and media. Global, Shaw, CTV were some of the media in attendance.
