You are invited to Winnipeg!
It is a great pleasure to extend this invitation to you to attend the 7th Canadian Pulse Research Workshop in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 5 - 7, 2008. Building on the success of previous workshops which are held every second year, the host committee looks forward to providing a venue at which pulse crop researchers will present their latest results within the 5 research areas of Nutrition and Health, Plant Breeding Initiatives, Novel Uses of Pulse Crops, Addressing Biotic Stresses (Pulse Agronomy) and Environment and Pulses. The sessions will include invited overviews of the overall themes of conference including an update from the Pulse Innovation Project and an international perspective on pulse breeding.
Winnipeg is an exciting place for the pulse industry, not only is it home to the offices of Pulse Canada but also the Canadian International Grains Institute, the Canadian Centre for Agri-food Research in Health and Medicine (CCARM), the University of Manitoba and the Richardson Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals.
